Hello once again! There will b phototaking session from 9.30 to 9.40 on 9th May, Wednesday. That's 2 weeks later. Rmb to be on your best form that day! Anyways good luck for Napfa tmr! The girls will be having 2.4 while the boys will gg.

Keen to show off your prowess in Econs? Are you seeking something
more exciting and more challenging way of tesing yourself than the
usual pen-and-paper??

Mastermind: Economics (previously known as Economics Idol) is an
annual college quiz organised by the Econs Unit for all C2 H1 & H2
Econs students. It mimicks after the National Econs & Fund
Management Quiz (NEFMQ) organised by NUS for all junior colleges.

Rules and Regulations:

- All Year 2 CTs taking Econs are encouraged to send at least four
students to take part in the preliminary round. Potential candidates
will be shortlisted by your respective Econs tutor.

- It will be a written test of 40 MCQs to be completed in 80
minutes. Questions will be set on both Year 1 and 2 Econs Syllabus
and major economic events / facts around the world.

- We will select the top 4 scorers from each CT and take the average
score.

- Afterwhich, the top four CTs (with the highest average score) will
be selected to go through the finals, held in the form of:
1. Team round
2. Buzzer/speed round
3. Audience round

- The quiz is COMPULSORY for all students who have been short-listed
for NEFMQ 2007. It will be a good opportunity to get prepared for
the NEFMQ 2007, which will consist of a mixture of MCQs and short-
answer questions.


ATTRACTIVE PRIZES:

- The top scorer of the preliminary round will receive a Kinokuniya
Book Voucher ($15)!!

- The top 4 teams will receive ATTRACTIVE HAMPERS!!

- All finalists will receive certificates of participation.

The compulsory preliminary round will be held on 17 April 2007
(Tues), 1530 - 1730hr in LT1.

from Juniors' blog, for those who didn't see the tag, or can't be bothered to go there, or something.

JTS

A big sorry to the seniors for postponing JTS for so long. JTS is now more or less fixed on 14th April, tentatively at Vivo. There's a lot of nice restaurants there at vivo and we can check them out.

The reason why it isn't on 7th April is because there is council camp for the new councilors as well as 小黄城 for Chinese Society people. There's H1 chinese test on 14th April but it should be okay since JTS is in the evening.

If all's good, JTS details should be as follow:
Location: Vivocity
Meeting Time: 6PM, 14th April
Meeting Place: HarbourFront MRT Station, outside the control room or around that area.

Please note that we will be paying for the whole meal. The seniors do not have to top up the rest.

Maybe we shouldn't go home after the JTS. We can stay behind and get to know people from each other classes better. We may be able to recognize each other in school but we don't really know each other well. It will be good if we can take the time for some interaction between us and the senior class

- prepare the remaining parts of the essay on Fiscal Policy which she discussed in class today
- prepare the DRQ in the inflation tutorial

For next Friday:
- erm, the VP and the PC (Arts) is going to observe our class... again
- read the handout which she gave out today
- guys are to prepare something on impact of inflation on households, girls are to prepare for government and firms (can someone pls confirm? i wasnt really listening :/)

Oh my! I have created a mess here...i guess? So here am I to clear up the untidy bits!

First, I would like to apologise for causing such displeasure and discontentment regarding about the jts especially to Christina, Vyvy, the junior class and etc...I'm actually the man behind this whole blog thingy. I quoted people's conversations without permission and giving false accounts from various members from the seniors. In fact, I was rather upset upon hearing that juniors once again postponed jts. But worst, the cancellation of jts was only announced on friday's night which is the night before jts which pissed quite a number of seniors. (not all) However, I was still at fault first by creating a post to stir up emotions. I'm sorry! (0_x) I created a post based on the assumption of what the others in the seniors class might say and I should have know that "assumption is the mother of evil!" and thus, i shall not assume things!

I think it is only right for me to clear the mis-implication of the previous entry. Juniors please do not take those words in the previous entry as it was ME who created it and it got nothing to do with the rest of the seniors especially to chris, vyvy, jiexun and blah blah blah... I thought by creating such a post could send out a correct message over the juniors class but in the end, it backfired le!

As for our poor Henghui , I could see the effort there for organising such an event. It is rather taxing on you to handle both council elections and jts at the same time. And definitely, we, SENIORS are very understanding about that and we really really appreciate that! Of course, for the other council nominees, you still have the SENIORS support alright! (I mean it!)

Hmmx...I would not be able to make it for jts due to some reasons...But I really hope to seek both seniors and juniors support to make jts an enjoyable and memorable one! Do take more photos especially those candid shots!

Once again, sorry for this whole thing and i shall shut my beak to prevent such things from happening again!

Last, i hope it is still not late to say this. ALL THE BEST TO THOSE JUNIORS WHO ARE RUNNING COUNCIL!
