If you have got a memory lapse, fret not. All you need to do is think of a random number, and remember the year you're born in.
Many of you would probably have received the following mail from dear jonjon.
It goes like this:
*Now we can tell your age just by knowing how many times you eat out
in a week. *

tell a falsehood anyway-but your waiter may know!

Work this out as you read ..
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go
out to eat.
(more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 ....
If you haven't, add 1755.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was your original number
(I.e., how! Many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

Intriguing yes. The question is why it works.
1. Think of a number between 1 to 9. Let this number be x
2. With faith, we multiply it by 2. We get 2x.
3. Add 5? We get 2x + 5
4. Multiply by 50. We get 50(2x + 5) = 100x + 250
5. Add 1756 (assume WLOG that everyone has celebrated their birthday): We get 100x + 250 + 1756... which is 100x + 2006
Something fishy going on
6. Minus your year or birth: 100x + 2006 - year_of_birth, which will intuitively give you 100x + your_age
7. Under the assumption that you're not born before 1906, and that x is lesser than or equla to 9, you'll end up with a 3 digit number, whereby the 2nd and 3rd constitutes your age. And for it to work on 2007? just change 1756 to 1757.
Bah lousy mind trick. I got a better one as follows. Its called the Jedi Mind Trick.

3. Now, here is the tricky part. With that mental image of your age still in your mind, find your age in the following section.
